Description
H-class main unit with increased native I/O density: 32 inputs and 32 sourcing transistor outputs (PNP) on the CPU card, intended for machines that need higher onboard I/O without extra expansion modules. Maintains H-class performance and platform compatibility.
The Polar Energy Assessment:
The DP64H increases on-board I/O compared with 32-point variants while preserving H-class instruction speed and XGB expansion compatibility. It is useful where wiring simplicity and fewer expansion slots are preferred. As with all XEC H models, verify exact HS channel counts, program memory and per-output current limits with the official manual for the SKU you plan to order.
Pros
- High native I/O density (32 in / 32 out) reduces expansion module and wiring complexity.
- Same H-class performance and feature set as other XEC H models.
Limitations
- Larger native I/O footprint may limit available slots for other expansion modules in very compact racks.
- Per-point current limits and thermal considerations when many outputs are driven concurrently.
Typical use cases
- Mid-sized machines, packaging cells, and OEM equipment that prefer higher native point counts to minimize expansion racks.
