Description
32-channel sourcing transistor DC output module, 12–24 VDC rated, high-density option for I/O heavy panels. Ideal when minimizing modules and slots is a priority.
The Polar Energy Assessment:
The TP32A consolidates 32 sourcing transistor outputs into one card, typically rated around 0.2 A per point with a 2 A common for the 32-point layout, photocoupler insulation, 0.4 V on-voltage drop, and 1 ms response times. Because of the higher point density the per-point current rating is lower than smaller modules, so plan driver hardware accordingly; terminal block and cable accessories such as XTB-40H and C40HH-xxSB-XBI are usually required.
Pros
- Very high channel density, reduces slot usage and panel real estate.
- Solid-state switching for long life and fast cycles.
Limitations
- Lower per-point current (≈0.2 A typical) compared with 8/16-point modules, plan for drivers on heavier loads.
- Requires XTB-40H terminal block and C40HH cable, add to BOM.
Typical use cases
- Dense indicator banks, many low-current DC outputs, and machines that prefer fewer modules and simpler wiring.
