Description
Economic compact CPU: 8 DI + 6 DO (transistor), single-rack small controller with basic fast counters and RS-ports.
The Polar Energy Assessment:
DN14E sits between the smallest DN10E and the DN20E in the E-type lineup. It’s an economic, entry-level compact CPU with slightly more local I/O and the same E-type constraints: limited program steps (≈4 Kstep) and a 240 ns/step class execution. Useful for small machines that need a bit more I/O without paying for U or H family capability.
Pros
- Good mid-entry point for small machines needing a few more points than DN10E.
- Low cost and familiar XBC toolchain.
Limitations
- Still E-class limitations: low program memory and slower cycle than U/H units.
Typical use cases
- Small packaging stations, feeder controllers, modest I/O OEM machines, and panels that need one extra input or output compared with the DN10E.
