Description
High-performance compact CPU with 32 DC inputs + 32 transistor outputs (NPN/PNP compatible), 24 VDC supply, ~15Kstep program memory and very fast scan (XGB-H class). Designed for mid-to-large compact systems with up to 10 expansion modules.
The Polar Energy Assessment:
The XBC-DN64H/DC is an H-type (high performance) XGB compact CPU in the XBC family offering 64 local I/O points (32 DI / 32 DO transistor), 24 VDC power, fast counters, PID loops and room for up to 10 expansion modules. It targets AHU, OEM machines and mid-sized automation cells that need fast logic, decent program memory and a healthy local I/O density without moving to a rackier PLC. Specs, scan speed and I/O limits are documented in the XGB H-type datasheets and LS product pages.
Pros
- High local I/O density (64 points) reduces panel complexity.
- H-class performance: fast scan (XGB H family ~83 ns/step) and robust fast-counter/PID features.
- Up to 10 expansion modules for flexible growth.
Limitations
- Transistor outputs only (not relays); not suitable where isolated AC switching is required.
- Dense terminal layout needs careful cabinet planning and wiring.
Typical use cases
- AHU / chiller local controllers, machinery with many high-cycle outputs, conveyor/pulse systems needing fast counting, and compact central controllers for plant subzones.
