LS Electric Metasol – MC-185a

3-pole magnetic contactor rated ≈185 A (AC-3) with 2a2b auxiliary options on many SKUs; commonly offered with AC100-240 V or DC coil variants and screw terminal mounting.

The Polar Energy Assessment:

Solid mid-heavy contactor: more current capacity than the 150 A class while still manageable in many panels. Good mix of horsepower capability and Metasol accessory compatibility; often used where 150 A is marginal but a full large-frame contactor would be overkill.

Pros
