Description
LS Electric LSLV0002M100 – 1EOFNA Inverter VFD Low Voltage Drive
Inverter/VFD – Micro (M100 Series) – 0.2 kW
Compact micro VFD from LS Electric’s M100 family; these models come with built-in EMC filter and DB unit. Best use case for cases where footprint, simplicity, and OEM integration matters.
The Polar Energy Assessment:
Compact 230 V single-phase input inverter designed for controlling small three-phase motors from 100 W up to 2.2 kW. Ideal for applications such as small fans, pumps, and geared motors, it includes built-in motor overload protection and standard DC injection braking. Features an integrated C2 EMC filter, ergonomic and user-friendly design, DIN-rail mounting option, and support for side-by-side installation. Connectivity is simplified through an RJ45 interface supporting Modbus, Smart Copier, Remote Keypad, and DriveView 7. Certified to UL 61800-5-1 standards, it incorporates an enhanced isolation circuit, a built-in braking unit for models rated ≥1.5 kW, and Modbus functionality in the Advanced I/O configuration.
Pros
- Extremely compact: DIN-rail or panel mounting saves space in tight control cabinets.
- Built-in EMC filter (C2) reduces the need for external filtering in many installs.
- Simple keypad and quick-menu make basic setup fast (good for OEMs and field techs who don’t want nightmares).
- Supports Modbus/RS-485 communications for basic PLC/HMI integration (when you need remote control/monitoring).
Cons / trade-offs
- Limited to light-duty motor sizes (0.2 kW for this model); not for continuous high-torque or large horsepower applications.
- IP20 only; needs protection from dust/wet environments; not suitable for outdoor locations without an enclosure.
- No Safe Torque Off (STO) on the micro models (verify safety requirements for your application). Check the series options if you need functional safety.
Typical use cases
- Small conveyors, agitators, fans and pumps in OEM equipment.
- Laboratory or test rigs where space is tight and single-phase supply is the only option.
- Retrofits that need 3-phase motor control but only have single-phase power available.
