Description
4-channel voltage D/A conversion module for the MASTER-K120S family. Converts 12-bit signed digital values to DC 0–10 V outputs with 2.5 mV resolution and ±0.5% full-scale accuracy.
The Polar Energy Assessment:
The G7F-DA2V is a 4-channel digital-to-analog (voltage) output module designed for MASTER-K120S PLC racks. It accepts 12-bit signed digital values from the CPU and outputs isolated voltage signals (0–10 V) for actuators, recorders, or field devices. The module uses photo-coupler isolation between the I/O and PLC power, requires a 24 VDC external supply for outputs, and supports expansion up to three modules per CPU slot as documented by the OEM.
Pros
- Four independent 0–10 V outputs in a compact module.
- High effective resolution (12-bit → 2.5 mV steps) and ±0.5% accuracy for smooth analog control.
- Photo-coupler isolation to PLC power reduces noise coupling into the CPU.
Limitations
- No per-channel isolation (channels share the same isolation boundary).
- Offset/gain fixed in hardware; cannot be field-recalibrated on the module.
Typical use cases
- Modulating 0–10 V valve actuators, analog inputs to BMS panels, recorder inputs, or any control valve/equipment requiring a stable voltage command from a MASTER-K PLC.
