Description

eXP2-0702D — eXP2 series, 7.0″ WVGA HMI

7.0″ WVGA HMI with WinCE 7.0 and the Basic I/O/comm feature set — includes serial ports and USB but omits Ethernet/microSD compared with the Advanced/Standard variants. Use this where fieldbus is handled elsewhere and you want a low-cost 7″ operator panel.

The Polar Energy Assessment:

The eXP2-0702D strips out some network bells and whistles to give a lower-cost 7″ panel that still runs the eXP2 software and supports USB and serial comms. It’s useful when the HMI doesn’t need to be on the plant Ethernet or when a PLC handles remote I/O. Same CPU/RAM as the family, same front IP65 protection.

Pros

• Lower cost than Advanced/Standard 7″ while keeping WVGA display and WinCE features.
• USB and serial ports retained for local program load/unload and PLC links.

Limitations

• No Ethernet and no microSD (so limited network functionality and no SD logging).

Typical use cases

• Local operator panels where plant Ethernet is not required.
